Larry M., Nov 17, 2009, 8:44PM ESTKimber,
I understand and did not think your attitude would condemn my friend. But the general attitude toward those who are "getting something for nothing" or "living on government handouts" is a huge part of why my friend is living on the edge in abject poverty. If it weren't for that resentment, the laws would not be written to "make and example" of them and to make it very difficult to get help. (So I over reacted. I regret having done so. Sigh.) -
Marc M., Nov 14, 2009, 10:00AM ESTThanks for the tips on the two upcoming books (Moore + Paolini). I would have sworn that Brisingr was the last of the series but a Google search pretty much confirms a fourth.
The bloodsucking novels Moore put out were my favorites of all he's written - I had an immediate crush on the Goth girl and I'm looking forward to more of her.
I'm in your debt. -
Marc M., Nov 12, 2009, 12:07AM ESTI've read every novel Christopher Moore's written and he is hilarious. I couldn't go more than two pages without a huge grin or an LOL.
I'm also into fantasy novels. One that I liked especially well was Paolini's Inheritance series -
